Transforming the dominant quantitative development in engineering education to that of qualitative enhancement in Iranian universities has been a major challenge for policy makers. In the current competitive atmosphere, engineering education applicants look for better quality of education. To respond to such a demand, a fundamental change in all aspects of the engineering education is unavoidable. 


The Iranian Society of Engineering Education aims to play an important role in this transition period and, therefore, has joined other international organizations, e.g. the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES), to contribute to the promotion and improvement of engineering education at both national and global scales.
